No one knows where they come from or why they persist.  Maybe it’s because they are true? 13 Urban Legends old & new will be told in “Urban Legends”.  They’re only stories…aren’t they?

Hymn of the Sorcerers #1

The region of Lakham, nestled in the Himalayas, is filled with magic and mysteries. When the foundation of Lakhami magic, The Brahma’s Eye, is stolen, chaos begins to loom over this peaceful valley. Lakham, as is known, stands as a barrier between the human world and the dark realm of demons. The demons strive to destroy everything that is beautiful and noble. Trapped in darkness for an eternity, their hunger, malice and savagery will be unleashed, if they cross over. Without the Brahma’s Eye to reinforce Lakham’s magic, the barrier will shatter under the crude stampedes of the demons. Only Senpa Dorji, using his rogue magical artifices, can reclaim the Eye and restore order. Will Senpa’s quest succeed? Will demons leave their dark realm? With Hymn Of The Sorcerers, delve into an enchanted world and discover the fate of Lakham.

Markosia Monday Spotlight On: Hero Killer

covers_new.inddEach week we’ll be turning the spotlight on one of the many quality graphic novels from our extensive back catalogue.

This week it’s the turn of Hero Killer.

Superheroes never lose. They always thwart the threat before them and justice prevails. Not this time! The superheroes are being hunted! A serial killer is killing them one at a time.

The bug is the first to fall. His arms and legs have been ripped from his body, much in the way a child would dismember a spider.

Detective Marquez is on the scene, using her unparalleled profiling skills.

However, Captain Power and Earth’s mightiest heroes arrive and she is shut out of the case. Marquez will not relent. She knows the heroes are out of their depth. Sure, they have saved the Earth from alien invaders and supervillain threats, but they have never faced anything like this.
Will Marquez follow orders and drop the case? Will the killer’s identity and motivation be revealed? And most pressingly, how many superheroes will die along the way?

Join us in this first volume of Hero Killer to find out.

Mycelium Seep 2

Khalek is a teenage boy who lives in an underground city, the denizens of which manufacture their food from roots that penetrate downwards from above ground. When he discovers a disease inflicting their main food source a series of events leads to the merging of his mind with that of Laura – A vehicle designer from present day earth.

The population in Khalek’s world are barred from visiting the planet’s surface, which is controlled by A xenophobic race of humanoids. The Humanoids communicate amongst themselves non-verbally and are constantly moving from place to place, using their legs as their only means of transportation.

Khalek and Laura’s newly merged consciousness embarks on a journey to understand the interrelation of their respective worlds during which they find themselves attempting to communicate with the Humanoids in order to stop the disease decimating Khalek’s world. Mycelium Seep is a science fiction story that deals with questions arising from the implementation of new technology- Is it possible to curb the rise of technology when it seems to lead down a dangerous path?
