Along the way, they contend with hired killers, super-samurai, bloodthirsty chicken men and a whole planet of people genetically engineered to be perfect–as well as homicidal!

Death Hawk: The Complete Saga is created and written by best-selling SF writer Mark (James Axler) Ellis and showcases stunning artwork by Adam Hughes, Rik Levins and Jeff Slemons!

This week it’s the turn of The Shadow of a Terrible Thing.

The Second World War had ended. Humanity was at its lowest, recovering from the death and destruction of millions of people and their homelands.

We were weak and vulnerable.

It was at this time that the Aliens decided to invade. They were advanced and all-conquering Aliens, in search of raw materials, resources for their own planet. Earth was that planet and it needed to be harvested and then destroyed before it became a powerful enemy. And it was now ripe for invasion.

Only the Humanity Department of Resources stood in their menacing way, and in the way of the total annihilation of our beloved planet Earth.

This week it’s the turn of Children Of Saigo.

Kagoshima, Japan 1877. Before leading his clan against the the Empire and certain death, Saig Takamori, Japan’s last great Samurai, pulled aside a young soldier named Koji Iwanaga and gave him an impossible order: Koji was to flee the country, escape to America and keep the tenets of Bushido alive.

Koji obeyed, and, to this day, his descendants live under the code of the Samurai — sort of.

Meet the Iwanagas: Ben, Shiro, Zoe and Teron. Four siblings born and raised in Chicago, trained in sword fighting, and about one sit-down dinner away from killing each other. But when Tomoe Yamada, a Yakuza mob princess, arrives to collect their heads as trophies, the dysfunctional brood must put aside their differences to defeat Tomoe and her army of assassins.

Cue the gunplay and swordfights.
