In the darkest corner of the universe, three monolithic beacons synthesized Darwin Bloom’s genetic material. Once the concoction had been perfected, it was released into a lagoon of darkling matter. The sample catalyzed, creating a new lifeform. While Bloom’s body was continually refined, his consciousness underwent a simulation. Facing constant danger from malevolent predators, he relinquished whatever hampered him—including the remnants of his humanity. Freed from weakness, the creature evolved into something formidable. Once Bloom rose from the primordial ooze, his Exoversal overlords could begin their campaign for universal domination. The power they give to their harbinger would be more than enough to crush Earth.
