Eighty years after her disappearance, Elizabetta Cendon is found again, washed up from the waters on the city promenade. But she is not the only thing of the past that makes a mysterious reappearance. Many of magics used in the past that seemed to be forgotten rise up again to answer the call of a mysterious statue from a certain Cabinet of Curiosities that seems to stir something in the minds of sleepwalkers confined in the San Servolo Asylum. Soon all the dormant magical forces within the city wake up and Venice finds itself gripped in the claws of a threat coming from the sea itself.
